Bill Vassar


Bill Vassar joined EUE/Screen Gems in 1997 as the Vice President of Production and joined the management group of EUE/Screen Gems in New York. In addition, Bill developed new revenue streams through the application of advanced technology. He provided technology to CBS News that contributed to the only Emmy win for the design and use of a virtual set. For over 20 years, Bill has provided production solutions for companies such as Paramount Television, MTV, CNBC, Fox, ABC, Disney, HBO, Lifetime, The Food Network, Nickelodeon and Warner Bros. He began his production career working on the start-up of “The Cosby Show” at NBC in New York.

In 2002, EUE/Screen Gems promoted Bill to Executive Vice President. He continued his management involvement with the New York City operation and was charged with the oversight and expansion of the company’s 50-acre film and television facility in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Bill served two terms as a member of the Board of Governor for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He was president of the North Carolina Production Alliance for three years.
Bill is part of the company’s producing team that is working with former baseball commissioner Fay Vincent and the Baseball Hall of Fame on the Oral History of Baseball.

Bill and his Wilmington team recently expanded the company’s lighting business into Charleston, South Carolina.
