John currently serves as Executive Vice President/Executive Producer/Director of New Business Development for EUE/Screen Gems as well as functions as Managing Director and Executive Producer for one of EUE/Screen Gems International commercial production companies Screen Gems Solutions.
One of John’s principle responsibilities is to offer clients on both the Ad Agency and Advertiser sides of the industry, commercial production solutions to their most pressing financial and/or logistical commercial production problems. He continues to be known in the industry as a Professional Commercial Problem Solver.
This often take the form of providing clients with a total production Package that includes all critical elements of Pre-Production, Production and Post Production including Creative, Editorial, Completion, Music and CGI (if necessary.)
Prior to joining EUE/Screen Gems, John served as Executive Vice President/Director of Film and Broadcast Production for one to the world’s largest marketing communications companies Bates Worldwide.
As a 27-year veteran of the advertising broadcast and production business, John has mounted productions around the world in such places as Africa, Hungary, England, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Alaska, etc.
A native New Yorker, Caffera has a Masters degree in Communications Theory, a Bachelors degree in Experimental Psychology, an Associate degree in Theatre and Drama and was an official candidate for a PhD in Media and Communications Environments and Systems at New York University.
