Mitchell Brill

Mitchell Brill brings years of management, strategic planning, operations, marketing and production experience within premier communications organizations to any endeavor. Mr. Brill has cultivated a special understanding of media trends, market realities, the entrenched tools of the production world and a keen sense of ever-emerging new technologies.

From 2005 to the present, Mr. Brill has been a member of the senior management team of EUE/Screen Gems, Ltd.; where he helps guide the strategic corporate development efforts for this leading global media company and serves as Executive Vice President for its New York studio facility operation.

As head of EUE/Screen Gems Studios New York, he oversaw and implemented a comprehensive business plan conceived to upgrade, manage and market this 125,000 square foot, multi-tiered digital studio complex. Among many new clients cultivated by Mr. Brill, the studios’ serve as the home of “Rachael Ray”, the nationally syndicated hit show co-produced by CBS, Harpo Productions and Paramount Television.

From 1993 to 2004, Mitchell Brill was employed by Lifetime Television to conceive and implement the initial business plan, branding and marketing efforts for the network’s 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art television production complex located at the historic Kaufman Astoria Studios. Under his aegis, Lifetime Studios was created, and positioned as a stand-alone business and anchor tenant. As Vice President & General Manager, Mr. Brill was responsible for all strategic business plans, budgets, staffing decisions, capital expenditures, contract negotiations, and developed and oversaw all marketing, advertising and public relations efforts. The studios regularly hosted productions for Universal Television, ABC Television & News, HBO, Jim Henson Productions, BBC, the Walt Disney Company, WNET, Showtime, Disney Channel, WGBH, Hearst Entertainment, MTV, Paramount, Fox Television, AMC, Hallmark Entertainment, PBS, A&E and other major clients.

Prior to joining Lifetime Studios, from 1990 to 1992, Mr. Brill simultaneously served as Director of Marketing for the Walt Disney Studios in Orlando, Florida, and as Vice-President of the Post Group facilities located on property. There, as a member of the initial studio management team, he designed and implemented a successful sales and marketing program to enhance the studios’ and City’s position as a third party production center.

Mr. Brill earned his B.A. degree from Hofstra University in Psychology/Media Studies, was awarded a scholarship in Global Media Studies in the Semester-At-Sea program, and later served on the Hofstra University – School of Communications – Alumni Advisory Board.

Upon graduation, he gained early, broad-based experience with ABC Television, Merv Griffin Enterprises, the William Morris Agency and Della Femina & Partners.

Interests include; competitive trap and sporting clays shooting, travel, skiing and photography. Mr. Brill is married, has two children, and lives in New York City.
