Shuttleworth was named Marketing and Public Relations Director for the exclusive Lake Isle Caterers in Westchester County, New York in 1990. While tempting brides and high-end clients with sophisticated menus, and exceptional reception locations, she grew the business 75% during her tenure.
In 2000, Shuttleworth was named Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications for EUE/Screen Gems, a multi-faceted content and studio production supplier. In 2009, Sharon led the communication efforts behind the debut of Stage 10, a $15 million special effects sound stage and water tank, one of the largest in the world, located at the Wilmington, N.C. film lot. Under Shuttleworth’s direction, EUE/Screen Gems embraced social media and developed a unique conceptual news blog to promote Stage 10 to Hollywood’s elite producers and directors. In 2010, she directed press roll out and marketing for the company’s new Atlanta studios. In 2011, she directed the marketing for Stage 6, a 30,000 sq foot stage on the Atlanta property; it was booked before completion of construction.
Shuttleworth’s leadership has resulted in EUE/Screen Gems’ frequent inclusion in industry blogs such as “Deadline Hollywood Daily,” the LA Times “Company Town Blog” and “The Wrap” as well as traditional news outlets such as “The Hollywood Reporter” and “Variety.”
Shuttleworth graduated from Holy Cross College with a B.A. in English in 1981 and completed a Masters degree at Columbia University in 1984. Today, she is based in South Florida with her husband and two children, Will and Megan.
